Ray Vega
Since trumpeter Ray Vega emerged on the
national jazz scene in the late 1980s with
Mongo Santamaría, he has become a
force to be reckoned with.

Juan Escovedo
Juan’s versatility is evident in the
wide variety of music and musicians he has
performed with, including leading his own
band, the Juan Escovedo Orchestra, for six
years. Juan traveled with his orchestra
to Japan, where they performed for 3 months.

Pete Escovedo
Drummer/percussionist Pete Escovedo has
been an important figure on the Latin Jazz
scene since the 1960s, when he performed
in a sextet with his brothers, as well as
with Santana. Influenced heavily by Fusion
and Soul music, his long-running band continues
to reach an adoring crossover audience.
Pete Escovedo has been a major force in
Latin music since the late 1960's, and his
versatility has resulted in success in several
areas of music, from Latin jazz and salsa
to rock and Latin pop. Pete has performed
in a countless number of settings including
with such notables as Herbie Hancock, Woody
Herman, Cal Tjader, Tito Puente among many
others. He started using his daughter, Sheila
E. in the mid 1970's when she was still
a teenager; they first recorded together
in 1976 with Billy Cobham and have worked
together many times since.

Jimmy Bosch
A fiery exponent of the progressive sound
often referred to as the most awesome Salsa
band to dance to, listen to and watch in

Arturo O’Farrill
Arturo O’Farrill is a pianist, educator and a musical director. He was born in Mexico and grew up in New York City. He is a well-spoken jovial man with a huge aura of energy about him, and leads the Jazz at Lincoln Center Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra.
