Charles Wheal first picked up a guitar after hearing Muddy Waters’ old guitar player strumming at a local bar. This inspiration of his youth set him running, as now Wheal has played with some of the greatest musicians of his generation, touring with Blues greats including James Cotton, Snooky Pryor, Sam Myers, and many more. Wheal anchored Mark Hummel and the Blues Survivors for almost a decade before he started his own Blues group in 2006. His current group now plays some of the finest traditional blues and roots music on the scene today.
