Tia Carroll’s deep, soulful voice showcases her sassy storytelling style. This awardee of the Jus Blues Music Foundation’s Traditional Blues Woman of the Year in 2008 has a heart and head full of Blues. She keeps an audience wrapped around her finger, interpreting performances from greats like Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner. Tia has toured internationally with Blues icons Jimmy McCracklin & Sugar Pie DeSanto and is slated to perform at the Lucerne Blues Festival in Switzerland.
Carroll’s band Hard Work is comprised of friends she met around the music scene, Jimmy Smith on keys, Joel Cohen on guitar, Artie Chavez on drums, and Tom Towers on bass. When together, these musicians put on a very entertaining show.
