UK Jazz pianist Terry Disley's résumé reads like a "who's-who" of Rock and Jazz, including session work with Sir Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Bon Jovi, Van Morrison, Dave Stewart and Bryan Ferry. He spent many years touring and recording with 2 time Grammy-nominated Acoustic Alchemy, and held residencies at London's prestigious Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club.
At the Hotel Ste. Claire, Terry presents excerpts from his tribute CD to Dave Brubeck & Vince Guaraldi (“Charlie Brown Christmas”) and Holiday favorites. He will be joined by drummer Jason Lewis, who graduated from the classical percussion program at San Jose State University with a B.A. in Music. Jason has played with a variety of talented musicians including Gary Burton, James Moody, Paul McCandles, Norma Winstone, Larry Coryell, Regina Carter, James Carter, John Handy, Kurt Elling and Taylor Eigsti. Rounding out the Trio will be bassist John Shifflett, currently an instructor at SJSU, teaching bass, small ensembles, and Jazz History. He has played on countless studio sessions, toured with Frankie Avalon, and performed with a range of stars including Dinah Shore, Mel Torme, Jerry Lewis, Dionne Warwick, Kurt Elling, and Bobby Hutcherson.
