The first of our FIRST FRIDAY concerts will feature Joe Bagale, who generated great buzz at our festival last summer. Bagale's compositions are a blend of old-school funk and R&B, mixed with the sounds of late '60s/'70s rock and topped off with an avant-garde jazz influence. A San Francisco based singer-songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, he has created a style all his own. Joe has appeared for thousands at festivals and venues including Lincoln Center's Avery Fischer Hall in NYC, Promise for Peace, the San Jose Jazz Festival, the Berkeley Jazz Festival, the San Francisco Jazz Festival, and the San Francisco North Beach Jazz Festival. The San Francisco Chronicle stated, "Irresistibly funky music... For Bagale, whose performances with various Jazz Mafia bands have been lighting up local audiences, musical boundaries are meaningless." -- Learn More
