Alberta Hunter, a native of Memphis, Tennesee,  was  a  legendary jazz and blues singer. During the 1920's and 1930's she recorded with Fats Waller, Fletcher Henderson, Eubie Blake, Louis Armstrong, Lil Hardin, and Duke Ellington.
