Last week, the superintendent of East Side Union High School District proposed cutting all the sports programs in the district to balance the budget. The school board then faced a meeting packed with students and parents protesting the proposed action.

 Why don't people show the same level of support when arts and music programs are on the chopping block? Thoughts?
